Shipping Policies

Remember all products are handcrafted so processing times can take longer than expected.  Current processing times are listed at the top of my home page.  Larger bulk orders can take longer.  If you have questions about large orders please contact me before you place the order.  I try to keep our processing times as up to date as possible but be aware they are subject to change at any time.  All orders that have shipped will have a tracking number sent to the email linked to your order.  All of my shipments are sent through USPS.

*Please note that international shipments do not always update and may not reflect current status once they leave the US.*

Akita Handmade is not held responsible for missing, lost, damaged, or delayed shipments.  I am not responsible for misdelivery due to an incorrect address provided.  Once the package is dropped off to the post office I am no longer responsible for the shipment.  If you are concerned about your package arriving safely, please choose an upgraded shipping option.  For questions about different shipping options please visit USPS's website.

International Shipping

I do ship internationally to some countries.  Buyer is responsible for knowing their custom and import laws.  (For example New Zealand does not import wood with bark on it.  The buyer would be responsible for contacting us and requesting bark to be removed from wooden tag.)  Please check with your local postal systems if you have any questions about your custom and import laws.

Import duties, fees, and taxes that may occur are the buyer's responsibility.  They are not included in your order total.  I am not held responsible for these fees regardless of if you choose not to pay them and the shipment is returned to me.  Please do not contact me requesting lower fabricated value amounts to be written on your custom forms to avoid these fees, as this is illegal.  Custom forms will always be filled out accurately.
